Hardi Volmer graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts and took a job at Studio Tallinnfilm as director and designer, and worked also as a scenographer. He has directed and designed 16 stop motion films, 2 short and 4 feature films, 2 documentaries, 2 TV series and a couple of TV programmes. Designed sets for TV and over hundreds of set designs for theatres in Estonia theatres and abroad. Has designed and directed commercials and music videos in different technique, designed books and theatrical posters. Frontman of the oldest Estonian punk band SingerVinger. Worked in the Estonian Academy of Arts as Associate Professor of Scenography from 2002 to 2009 and in Viljandi Culture Academy of the University of Tartu as Associate Professor of Multimedia. Associate prof. of Directing in Baltic Film, Media and Arts School 2012-2014.
