Igor Jeltsov was a fiction and chronicle film director. He graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography and worked under Tallinn Kinostuudio as director in the News Department. Jeltsov is mostly known for fiction films e.g. “Uninvited Guests” (1959), “Under the Same Roof” (1962) and “Zero Three” (1965). “Uninvited Guests” was his debut film, which also received all-Union attention. In the 1960’s Jeltsov was one of the few artists who had permission to travel across the world. His freedom brought him projects in foreign countries, for example Jeltsov worked in Munich as an editor of Russian-language programs at Radio Vabadus. He spent most of his days abroad and said goodbye to us in wonderful Madrid.
