Jüri Müür was an All-Union State Institute of Cinematography educated director and screenwriter. Worked under Tallinn Kinostudio. He is described as a man who was inspiring, bright, witty and contagious with his energy. He didn’t specialize only for one genre, he directed and scripted fiction films, musicals, animated films and so on. Müür was also said to be a clever filmmaker, who had an eye on using society problems as his art playground e.g. “Võõras higi” (1973), which was built on that time agriculture problems. Several of his films have received awards at all-Union festivals.
