Riho Unt graduated from the Estonian State Institute of Arts in 1982 as a Set Designer. Over the years, he has made more than 30 animated films. His films have won numerous awards and travelled to major animation festivals. His short animation The Master won the Jury Award at Annecy Film Festival in 2015. He has taught animation in the universities in Estonia and abroad, given master classes, and has regularly been a member of film festival juries. He has worked as a director and production designer in Tallinnfilm, Nukufilm, and as a freelancer, as well as created illustrations and children`s books.
