Director: Viktor Nevežin

(04.04.1906 – 03.12.1974)

Viktor Nevežin was a film director from Saint Petersburg. He has acquired knowledge from the Moscow State Institute of Theater and the State Institute of Cinematography. Nevežin has worked under various studios, e.g. Mosfilm, Voentehfilm, Sverdlovski film studio, Tallinn Kinostudio – in total 8 film studios. He has also left a decent mark in the Estonian film industry by making 11 newsreels, 5 documentaries and several fiction films. His most known works are “Days of June” (1957, with Kaljo Kiisk), “Rocks Under Water” (1959) and “Meeting by Chance” (1961).
